Fashion news 6 November 2008
Here are some fun facts currently amazing the handbag.com fashion desk: one, the new Kate Moss Topshop collection has been her biggest hit to date, with fans queuing outside for hours before the Oxford Street shop opened to be among the first to get their hands on the goods (we know - our office is directly across the street). The so-called panther dress (pictured), which Kate wore on a wild night out in Covent Garden recently, sold out in 15 minutes in-store, taking two hours to go online (designers, take note: the dress costs a very wallet-friendly £100). Next, it has been reported that Dolce & Gabbana will pay a record amount of rent for their new store on Bond Street, to the tune of £820 per square foot annually for the first 30 feet of the store, as well as 1.4 million premium to replace glasswear designers Lalique. Phew. We know there's a recession on, but that's just ridiculous.
