Christmas shopping just had the fizz put back into it, with the announcement that luxury department store Liberty is to host sparkling late-night soirees to perk up weary buyers. In celebration of their newly extended opening hours - until 10pm on week nights throughout November and December - visitors to the store who spend £100 or more on week nights between 9 and 10pm will receive complimentary champagne. It's not like we needed the lure of bubbles to help us shop, but it sure can't hurt.
