Handbag of the week: Gucci

We love when a high end design house shows they have a sense of humour.  In conjunction with the unveiling of their newly designed London flagship store on Sloane Street Gucci has designed the fabulously tongue in cheek Sloaney bag. 

The Sloaney bag collection, designed by Frida Giannini, Gucci's Creative Director and designer of the boutique's new look interior, pokes fun at London's famed Sloane rangers, giving them a cooler edge through punk's symbol of rebellion - the Union Jack.  The Joy GG canvas Sloaney bag still bears Gucci's classic interlocking Gs but just like the store the GG bag has been given a makeover.  

We love the extravagance and OTT vibe of the range, the store, which opened on Saturday 21 March is guaranteed to be equally as fabulous.
