Interview: Tamara Salman
The woman who's made Liberty cool talks to Danielle Radojcin.
Tamara Salman is Creative Director of Liberty of London, the stand-alone brand she helped launch for the department store in 2005. After studying textiles at Winchester School of Arts, she spent 12 years working at fashion houses in Milan and Paris, including Prada and Romeo Gigli. Drawing on her European contacts, the half Iraqi, have British 36-year-old designer has built up the Liberty of London label into a respected and sought-after luxury brand, with the first Liberty of London boutique opening on London's Sloane Street later this year.
