Charlotte Essex, Visual Merchandiser at House of Fraser, says:

"Our designs for the costumes are based on influences of punk and nu rave. We created garments with strong dramatic shapes and vibrant colours. By adding old or used elements such as security tags, locks and keys, we created accessories and head dresses to complete the outfits, demonstrating just what can be achieved by recycling."

Cassandra Robinson-Brown, PR Manager at Austin Reed, says:

"Our West End ‘Trash Fash\' creation is based on garments that are readily available in any Austin Reed store. The fitted button through pencil skirt, classic white shirt and nipped in blazer are timeless Austin Reed piece, whilst the mismatched buttons add an element of fun and ‘quirk\' and the shopping bags and oversized clutch give off an air of ‘city living\'.
