Alexa Chung & Henry Holland

bafta awards,BAFTAS,celebrity fashion, henry holland,Alexa Chung,2009 Alexa Chung & Henry Holland The British Academy Television Awards, (or TV Baftas) are not traditionally an event the fashion world gets in a lather over. In fact, any event containing the letters T and V on the invite could best be described as your average fashion designer’s worst nightmare - mass market, (whisper it) ‘normal\' looking girls who don\'t have an army of hair, make-up and stylists to preen them for their moment on the red carpet. So imagine our surprise when among the sea of sequins we spotted the grass roots of a fashion revolution. Maybe it was Alexa Chung\'s name on the guest list that made some of the other girls step their game up, perhaps the younger still Hannah Murray from Skins who didn\'t bow to tradition and wore super-fun silver flats. Whatever it was, it was a start. With the National Television Awards coming up may we just say, cast of Emmerdale, take note...

Louise Redknapp
