Actresses have always starred in designer ad campaigns, ever since the fall of the mighty super model sometime in the late 90s. Miu Miu, Dior, Burberry and Chanel have frequently signed up a wide range of hot, of the moment starlets to promote their wares, with Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel preferring eternally chic and cool women like Lily Allen and Vanessa Paradis, while Christopher Bailey at Burberry prefers Brit talent, like Eddie Redmayne and Emma Watson.
This season is no different, with the latest roster of actresses-being-models including Twilight star Ashley Greene for DKNY , Jane Eyre actress Mia Wasikowska for Miu Miu, Mila Kunis for Dior, and Anne Hathway for Tods. We particularly like the Mia Wasikowska for Miu Miu match the whimsical Alice in Wonderland actress is a perfect fit for the girly, quirky brand. Its also great to see that this latest batch of up-and-comers arent under the age of 18.
Meanwhile, punky it girl Alice Delall has not only landed Chanels Boy bag campaign, but has also been announced as the new star of the Marc by Marc Jacobs ads. It seems the undercut is finally getting some recognition.
