Oscars 2011: red carpet fashion highlights
It’s the one we've all been waiting for - the Oscars 2011, where the biggest awards of the night are unofficially dished out on the red carpet.
So who were the big winners and losers tonight? There were quite distinct sartorial camps. Purples and lilacs were Scarlett Johansson, Amy Adams, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis’ colour of choice. The likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Hudson, and Penelope Cruz went for oranges and reds. Nude tones were seen on Nicole Kidman, Michelle Williams and Halle Berry. Others like Helena Bonham Carter, Gwyneth Paltrow and Cate Blanchett simply dressed to the beat of their own tune – some more successfully than others.
