Mercedes Benz may be best known for their automobiles, but over recent years they have also made forays into the fashion industry notably sponsoring New York and London fashion weeks. So it makes sense that Mercedes have roped in some of fashions finest for their latest ad campaign. Legendary photographer Terry Richardson (known for his A-list portraits and risqué imagery) has created a video featuring supermodel Jessica Stam, wearing a dress by Ungaro, which is designed by the one and only Giles Deacon. What a fash-fest!
The video is all about the new Mercedes-Benz Concept A-CLASS, and has Jessica running about some sort of futuristic car factory, rolling under closing doors and looking like a crazed Bond villain-ess, albeit a very glamorous and beautiful one. It appears that the object of her desire is the new Mercedes Benz vehicle, because when she finds it, she leaps on it like a long lost lover. Its a great video, full to the brim of Terrys trademark cheekiness and OTT charm (and do we detect just the smallest amount of irony? This video may feature a supermodel on a car, but for once the supermodel seems to be in charge.) We are also big fans of Giles brilliant work for Ungaro, demonstrated in Jessicas slinky lace dress, and even though our knowledge of cars only gets as technical as watching Top Gear, the new A-Class looks pretty snazzy too.
