Ever since she hit our radar in her prom dresses and sneakers, Lily Allen has been at the vanguard of the burgeoning vintage fashion trend. As she’s grown up in the public eye, her look has matured too, capturing the attention of top designers including Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld, who made her his muse.
We love her for her glam but real style, and her magpie eye for gorgeous vintage dresses, and Lily is a mistress of playing dress-up without ever looking too ‘done’. She teams, often embellished, retro dresses with opaque tights or bare legs, and classic platforms or courts (her sneakers ‘n’ dresses days seem to be behind her).
Jewellery and accessories are understated classics, with her gold hooped earrings and Chanel 2.55 quilted shoulder bag firm favourites. With the recent launch of her first Lucy In Disguise ready-to-wear collection no doubt her fashion star will continue to rise.
