Kristen Jaymes Stewart has come a long way since we first saw her on screen as Jodie Foster’s daughter in ‘Panic Room’, aged just nine years old. She’s grown up in the public eye, which has meant we’ve witnessed her style evolution from scruffy adolescent to the teen queen of the red carpet. She’s famously a little bit shy about life into the celebrity spotlight, but a leading role in the Twilight saga - one of the biggest movie franchises ever-has meant she’s had to step up to the plate, sartorially speaking.

She’s developed a paparazzi-perfect pout and a signature fashion look for both on and off duty; no-one does micro mini on the red carpet like K-Stew. And even though she’s supposedly enjoying a romance with Robert Pattinson (sigh!) this is one girl who appreciates the joy of dressing down. You are just as likely to see her in Converse as Chanel, and as international designers clamour to dress her, but she is just as at home in jeans and a hoodie. At still just 21, we have a feeling there’s much more to come from this cool style icon, who refuses to compromise or conform. Now, we are off to cross off days on our calendar: the countdown for ‘Breaking Dawn’ has begun…

This puffa jacket and Timberland boots combo looks like something Bella Swan would wear, but this was in Kristen’s pre-Twilight days. The glossy brunette mane that Stewart is known for is already out in force, as is her love of practical apparel.
