John Galliano has been found guilty of anti-Semitic and racist behaviour, after insulting fellow customers at a cocktail bar in Paris earlier this year. His rants were caught on film and published widely on the internet, leading to widespread condemnation.

The verdict comes after the designer was fired from not only Dior but also his own label, amidst claims he was suffering from addiction to alcohol, Valium and sleeping pills. The designer could have been sentenced to up to six months in jail, but has instead been fined a total of 6000 euros.
