Jaime Winstone and Lily Allen
Lily Allen and Jaime Winstone are two of the UK\'s coolest young stars. Besides their impressive careers in music and acting respectively, the 22-year-olds have become firm friends (after Jaime bagged Lily\'s cheeky younger brother Alfie as her current squeeze), have bags of attitude and most importantly for our sakes, share an enthusiasm for fashion.
Not only has Lily wowed music fans all over the world with her ska-style pop music, but her unique prom-punk look has also grabbed the attention of the fashion industry and fans alike. She now appears to have shunned the trainers and dress look and started channeling a more sophisticated and fashionably adventurous style, opting for grown-up labels like Chanel.
Jaime has also been on our style radar for a while now, sporting fashion-forward mini-dresses, blazers and shorts, as well as a cool urban street style that looks certain to propel her into the fashion mainstream. The actress, daughter of Sexy Beast star Ray Winstone, already has several gritty film roles under her belt, but whether she\'s partying at the capital\'s hippest nightspots, strutting down the catwalk for Vivienne Westwood or sashaying down the red carpet for a film premiere, her too-cool-for-school style, pixie-like features and gamine crop are making her the talk of the town. See them go head to head in handbag.com\'s fashion face-off...

Masses of ruffles and feather-adorned fabrics were on display on the spring/summer 2008 catwalks and both girls evidently took note. Lily wore this show-stopping feathered pink Giles gown and Christian Louboutin heels to wow the crowds at the British Fashion Awards in November. Jaime also embraced the look with this belted Paule Ka dress and black pumps to the BAFTAS in February.

Denim is big news for spring, as seen on the catwalks at Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana and Christopher Kane. Lily teamed a denim cut-off skirt with a beatnik striped top, blazer - one of this season\'s must-have items - plus black tights and heels. Jaime wore a trendy paint-splash style t-shirt, black blazer and patent heels, all by Dolce & Gabbana, with a pair of teeny denim shorts and matte opaques to the UK premiere of Shine A Light in April.

Tongue-in-cheek, fun and unmistakeably British, fashion designer Luella\'s clothes have evidently grabbed the attention of both girls. Lily wore a zip-up floral dress from the designer\'s spring/summer 2008 collection, complete with vampy make-up to attend the Luella autumn/winter 2008 show. Jaime also wore Luella recently, but plumped for a pretty tiered floral print skirt, which she teamed with a basque-style top, blazer, patent ankle boots and a shimmering gold clutch.

Both girls appear to be dedicated fashion fans and are often spotted in the front row of many a catwalk show. Lily and Jaime both opted for strapless dresses to attend Stella McCartney and Luella\'s shows respectively.

Spruce up your wardrobe with some brightly coloured pieces this spring. Lily made her midnight-blue satin Chanel dress even more striking by teaming it with a pillar-box red bag also by Chanel, as well as some metallic heels and jewellery. Jaime added a splash of colour to her black feather-trimmed dress and opaque tights with a pair of bright-red heels.

Every fashionable girl needs a little black dress or two. Lily gave the look a twist by wearing a two-tone frock with a shimmering sequined black top and a pleated lower half, finished off with a pair of sparkly silver heels. Jaime, however, went for old-school glamour by donning a fringed tiered black dress, which she teamed with a chic white fur shrug, black pumps, clutch and pearl earrings.

No dedicated fashionista\'s wardrobe is complete this spring without a pretty floral print dress. Lily showed off her shoulders in a floor-skimming flowery Prada dress to a Burberry London Fashion Week party. Jaime worked the trend too, but chose a Mulberry floral print pencil skirt and top, coordinating the look with a fuchsia suede clutch and matching Jonathan Kelsey for Mulberry shoes.
