As we revealed
back in January, Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova will be swapping the catwalk for the big screen when she stars in the 3D blockbuster remake of the 1981 Greek mythology epic, Clash Of The Titans (which hits cinema screens on 2 April). In her first appearance in a mainstream film (she previously starred in the little known CQ and Alexander Kott\'s Probka), she will appear as the face of a CGI-ed Medusa - the beautiful, snake-haired gorgon whose stare can turn men to stone. You\'d be right for thinking that her real life story reads something like a Hollywood script too, telling the ultimate rags-to-riches tale. She was famously discovered as a teenager struggling to make ends meet on a Russian fruit stall and went on to become the country\'s leading supermodel. Then in a fairytale romance the girl from a poverty-stricken pocket of Nizhny Novgorod in Russia married an English aristocrat and property heir, Justin Portman, and they now live together in a luxurious country pile in West Sussex with their three children.
The supermodel they dub ‘Supernova\' possesses an intoxicating mix of stunning beauty, wide-eyed child-like features and elegant style that has bagged her modelling contracts with everyone from Calvin Klein and Chanel to Yves Saint Laurent.
