At just 25-years-old Carey Mulligan has already starred 11 films, been nominated for an Oscar for her portrayal of journalist Lynn Barber in An Education, bagged herself a Hollywood boyfriend and become fashion’s new darling. In what is set to be a busy time for the star, she has two huge films hitting cinemas in the coming months. Next week sees the release of Oliver Stone’s eagerly anticipated Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (out 6 October) in which she plays the daughter of Michael Douglas’ character, Gordon Gekko – a role he’s reprised from the 1987 classic. It also stars Josh Brolin and Carey\'s off-screen boyfriend, Transformers and Indianna Jones star Shia LaBeouf.

However, we’re more excited about the release of Never Let Me Go (out 21 January 2011), based on the dystopian book by Japanese-born British author Kazuo Ishiguro. Carey stars alongside fellow British stars Keira Knightley and Andrew Garfield, and her performance is already receiving rave reviews.

When it comes to clothes, Carey makes an interesting red carpet dresser, eager to wear the less predictable labels - think Vionnet and Christopher Kane - and experiment with her look. Combine this with an impish charm and an unpretentious attitude (always giggling and not taking herself too seriously despite an unarguable acting talent) and she’s set to become one of our biggest stars.\r\n\r\n
