Rachel Zoe launches website

Stylist to the stars Rachel Zoe has launched a website dispensing fashion, beauty and lifestyle tips.

Nicole Richie and Keira Knightley have benefited from her professional eye, and now you can too. Rachel Zoe, the world's most prolific celebrity stylist, launches her website today, which, in her words, is "a free daily newsletter featuring my favourite obsessions in the ever-evolving worlds of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle."

As well as a daily newsletter to your inbox, The Zoe Report features the latest from Zoe's fashion must-have list in the categories of accessories, apparel, beauty, jewellery and lifestyle. (At time of writing, there was just one entry in the ‘accessories' section; the latter four sections had yet to be added to).

Everything is written as blog posts by Zoe herself, in her trademark outrageous patter. We learn, for example, that in Zoe world, a "shootie" is a shoe + booty, with a particular Brian Atwood example described as, "A striking leopard print, sexy elastic detailing and high platform-I DIE." ("I die" being a catchphrase from Zoe's hit US television show, The Rachel Zoe Project.) 

Zoe, already a successful stylist, became famous in the mid noughties for dressing starlets including Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton and Lindsay Lohan in her own image, or as "Zoebots", with long wavy hair, tans, glamorous '70s style gowns and boho-chic jewellery. The skinny appearance of these girls led to rumours of Zoe encouraging eating disorders among her clientele, accusations which she denied. In 2006 Richie and Zoe famously fell out with Richie firing Zoe and branding her a "raisin face" in a blind item on her MySpace page. (The pair have since made up.)

The adverse publicity did not affect Zoe's career, however. She bounced back, styling A-listers Kate Beckinsale, Cameron Diaz and Keira Knightley for red carpet events, and published a book of style tips, called From A To Zoe. As Zoe herself signs off on The Zoe Report, "Learn it, live it, love it."
