Last night Burberry hosted an event to celebrate the lighting of their logo on a Manhattan skyscraper. Chief executive Angela Ahrendts and creative director Christoper Bailey were on hand to greet guests, with new-girl-in-town Alexa Chung adding a bit of British flavour as DJ. The drinks and canapés, which also had a British theme, were served to the glamorous array of guests, including supermodels Lily Donaldson and Helena Christensen, Orlando Bloom, Gossip Girl stars and real-life sweethearts Blake Lively and Penn Badgley and Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy. The event coincided with today being declared Burberry Day in New York by the City's Mayor Bloomberg.
