1. It's the first show of the season and you've slept through your alarm! Do you:

Glide into your walk-in wardrobe put on your carefully co-ordinated black and camel Marc Jacobs ensemble before gliding out your all-white loft apartment and straight for a blow dry. You'd rather miss Alexander Wang's new show than turn up with flat hair.

Stagger out of bed (not necessarily yours) deciding that, in the interests of speed, bed head and last night's eye make-up are the way forward. You can't find last night's dress, so you go for a belted man's shirt and brogues - you've got just enough louche insouciance to carry it off.

Decide there's no time for a blow dry, so you back comb your 'do and hairspray the bejesus out of it. A super-tight D&G LBD and some serious fur complete the look.

Not give it a second thought. You could get dressed in the dark and still be the chicest person in the room - all your clothes are black anyway. And it's not like they're going to start the show until you arrive…

1. It's opening night party time and you're still feeling a bit frazzled after your rushed start in the morning. So you…

Do a quick tour of all the most important parties, making sure you're photographed everywhere. Leave early after sipping mineral water all night - alcohol is so ageing.

You're DJ-ing at the (second) biggest off-schedule party, so you head over there with your posse of stylists, bloggers, designers and your iPod. Your ironic '90s megamix goes down a treat, so you head to the after party to celebrate 'til dawn.

You're old friends with the PR of the biggest party going, so you hold court in the corner, sipping champagne and occasionally summoning your favourite young designers over to introduce to all your contacts.

You hate parties - so vulgar - but you have to attend. Such is life. You only talk to people you actually like, before leaving as early as possible for an intimate dinner à trois with your two best friends.

1. There's been a hideous diary clash. The two biggest shows of the season are scheduled next to each other - at opposite sides of town. What do you do?

You're certainly not going to risk breaking sweat by rushing over there. Your air-conditioned car is waiting outside so you use the journey time to practise some meditative breathing. Everyone else will be late as well, but at least you'll look good.

You jump on the fashion bus with your posse and as many mini Moëts as you can fit under your cape. You've lost track of what shows you've seen now anyway, so you might as well go where the party is.

It's a disaster dahling! You and your most fashionable friends commandeer as many taxis as you can find when wearing six-inch heels and make a noisy entrance at show number two just as the music's about start. You apologise loudly to everyone as you take your seat.

Drop the designer in question a quick text and arrange a private viewing once all this Fashion Week nonsense is out of the way. You can't be doing with all the crowds and photographers anyway, it's so uncool.

1. Despite your best wardrobe efforts you get snapped one morning during Fashion Week going out to buy a pint of milk wearing a cagoule, some neon leggings, a pair of Crocs and no make-up. Do you:

Leave the country at once - not that that's much of an escape. You've never been seen without make-up on before, so the picture goes viral within hours.

Decide it's actually a pretty good look and wear a variation of that outfit for the rest of Fashion Week. Sales of Crocs go up by 200%

Just brazen it out by making sure your hair, sunglasses and tan are bigger and better than ever next time you get photographed.

Refuse to acknowledge the photograph and walk out of the room in stony silence every time someone mentions it.

1. Fashion Week is finally over - how do you unwind?

A full mani/pedi/waxing/facial/spray tan treatment-athon, so you emerge at your desk looking glowing and groomed on Monday morning.

You should probably get some sleep, but you've heard something about an after-fashion-week after-party rave in an abandoned warehouse, which you might check out on the way home…

Unwind? You've got champagne receptions booked in every night for the next six months. Fashion never sleeps, dahling!

You're straight off to your country retreat for some intensive meditation and a spot of light poetry writing. You leave your BlackBerry behind.
