Last season Stella McCartney was one of the champions of polka dots. This season, she opted for another soft womanly shape, but this time round it was all about the swirl seen in curved hemlines and cut-outs on mini dresses, skirt-and-jacket combos and silk playsuits.
Electric blue mini-dresses had swirling panels of floral lace embroidery, while waves of red lace were similarly used as the dangerously short hemlines to super-short dresses. Paisley prints in navy blue and black added to the swirl-fest, as did the cut-out teardrops on shoulders and bodices, as well as the Baroque style appliquéd hemlines on half a jacket, or half a skirt.
Circular handkerchief prints did crop up blown up and printed onto mismatched shirts and trousers, while circles were also evident in the sporty mesh panels on shoulders, hips and ribs. Inevitably, this is another collection of red-carpet ready dresses. We wonder wholl be spotted in one first?
