There was love in the air at the spring collections where designers like Marc Jacobs and Stefano Pialti at YSL gave us sweetly romantic themes made up of fragile layers, billowing chiffon, cascading frills and pretty floral prints. On a darker note, poetic ruffled blouses return and beautiful, theatrical corsets and skirts at McQueen suggested a notion of femininity that is whimsical and enchanting.
