Had Miuccia Prada seen Atonement before putting together her autumn / winter 2008/9 Miu Miu collection? Each model came out on the runway wearing a 1930\'s-style swimming cap, much like the one Keira Knightley wore in the film. Granted, Ms Prada did update the look by making the models\' ponytails poke through a hole a the back, but the overall feel was of retro sportswear, right down to the brown leather initials of their respective names each model wore (expect those to be an accessories hit come autumn). The vintage, heavy look of the fabric was reminiscent of early wetsuit prototypes, while the knee-length cycling shorts brought to mind Karl Lagerfeld\'s collection for Chanel in 1990, when he sent out a similarly surfwear-inspired collection (even sending Linda Evangelista out on the runway carrying a surfboard).  -Danielle Radojcin
