jil sander spring summer 2011
Jil Sander
Raf Simons collection for Jil Sander was an exercise in minimalist perfection. The peplum over the long skirt in tangerine saves this look from becoming flat.
prada spring summer 2011
Prada
Miuccia Prada said she was inspired by musicals for her spring/summer 2011 collection. The result? A riot of primary-colour stripes and curlicue prints. The rounded silhouette of this look makes what could have been garish, palatable.
bottega veneta spring summer 2011
Bottega Veneta
The perfect trouser, the perfect slouchy tee, and a pop of lime. This clean, fresh look is like exhaling at a yoga class.
dolce gabbana spring summer 2011
Dolce & Gabbana was one of the hightlights of Milan SS11 Fashion Week.
The upper midriff is to 2011 what Britney Spears abs were to the late 90s. I loved the romantic sexiness of the Dolce show.
fendi spring summer 2011
Fendi
Be warned: the mini is dead and midi length skirts are back, back, back for spring/summer 2011.
versus spring summer 2011
Versus
This was the first collection by Christopher Kane for Versaces younger, funkier sister, and he brought the full force of his Scottish heritage (hes from Glasgow) to bear on the brands trademark cut-out party dresses. Lindsey Wixson stomped out in this hot little number, which I love.
pucci spring summer 2011
Emilio Pucci
Peter Dundas showed an unapologetically sexy show inspired by 70s icons Brigitte Bardot and Jane Birkin. My favourite look from the collection is what Im calling The Squid Dress, with its pockmarked tentacles and sea-life colour scheme. Perfect for a night out in Ibiza.
versace spring summer 2011
Versace
This is, essentially, what youd call a little black dress, however what makes it stand out is its graphic lines and tiered fringing. Its sort of tough-sexy, which I love.
