Much like at Chanel yesterday, Marc Jacobs showed Louis Vuittons Spring/Summer collection in a pale, dreamy setting, with pretty pastel clothes to match.
Floaty puff-ball and drop-waist skirts and dresses were the main attraction, with 50s inspired chignons and balletic headbands keeping the models neat hair in place. The palette was distinctly pastel, featuring snowy whites, lemons, sorbet pinks and blues, and silver the Louis Vuitton girl this season was an innocent ingénue quite a departure from the fetish-inspired madams of Autumn/Winter 2011. There were even more pretty details in the lace collars, daisy appliqués and silver-tipped heels a micro-trend weve seen at a few shows now.
After her well-documented turn on the Autumn/Winter 2011 catwalk, cigarette in hand, Kate Moss again made her only appearance of fashion week at the Louis Vuitton show. Closing the show, she rode a fairground carousel, wearing a swan-like white broderie anglaise puff-ball dress with ostrich feather trim. Another great fashion moment.
