Marc Jacobs\' collection for Louis Vuitton was a high-concept affair, tapping Yves Saint Laurent\'s work in his Eighties heyday. When British model-of-the moment Jourdan Dunn walked out in a black cylindrical head-piece and ice-blue genie jacket and trousers combo, she looked for all the world as if she\'d been transported in a time machine direct from the French master\'s oeuvre. This was a show for women who wear hosiery and frequently reapply their lipstick. The inverted-triangle silhouette of broad shouldered blazers and tapered trousers came in a discreet, bourgeois colour palette ranging from the palest grey to a paler shade of blue. But enough about the clothes. Louis Vuitton is, after all, all about the bags. They were slouchier than in previous seasons, quieter in colour and discreet in logo. A grey suede corduroy-effect day bag came with python-covered handles, quietly hinting at the deluxe ethos of the brand.  -Danielle Radojcin
