Under the sea

Designers were all at sea this season, with prints, shapes and show scenery all reflecting a distinctly aquatic feel. Chanel's show opened with Florence Welch singing from a sea shell in a highly elaborate under the sea set, while models floated down the catwalk in iridescent aqua-coloured dresses. Elsewhere, designers took the theme further with their prints – highly elaborate underwater scenes complete with schools of fish and coral were seen at Mary Katrantzou, while Versace was awash with starfish and sea horse prints.
