Paisley prints at Clements Ribeiro
Husband and wife duo Clements Riberio are back for spring/summer 2012 with a collection that mixed a signature Paisley print with preppy, Fifties style sweaters, flowing, silks and plenty of lace.
Despite the mix of styles and fabrics, this was a considered, coherent collection, with delicious powder blues and corals running throughout. There was plenty for the girl on the street to get excited about, with coral coloured twinsets, a checkerboard maxi dress and very sexy sweaters in pastel shades.
Messy hair and a dash of smudged eye liner gave the collection an air of disheveled elegance that we’ll all be attempting to copy in six months. Best of all, this was a collection you could actually imagine wearing – the silk printed dresses with lace sleeves have summer wedding written all over them (but in a good way), and the queue for those amazing sweaters will be miles long.
