A colour popping autumn
Autumn/winter 2011 collections across all four cities featured an unseasonable spectrum of shades. Summers hottest choice, tangerine, exploded into canary yellow, magenta pinks, burnt orange and pillar box red brights, while electric blue inspired rich, pre-Raphaelite colours such as jade green, amethyst, teal and chartreuse.
Neutrals ranged from blush and putty colours, through to mists and slate greys, and navy, indigo and forest greens. Deep clarets and wine reds, as well as ochre and cider shades added colour and served as a foil to lighter hues.
Following a blindingly bright summer, and with even the front row shaking off the black at the recent round of fashion weeks, its no surprise that colours still a big story this autumn. With even designers known for a more sombre palette scattering globs of pigments across their collection, well be wholly embracing colour come autumn!
Our tip: invest in colourful accessories now and get a head-start for a brighter winter wardrobe.
