It's a blackout for the new Batman film

Last night saw the London premiere of the latest film in the new Batman trilogy: The Dark Knight and all the fashionable girls were out in their red carpet finery. Nearly all of them dressed in the spirit of the film (and next season's key trend) in head to toe black, with star of the film Maggie Gyllenhaal looking as chic and glamorous as ever in a Stella McCartney backless, halterneck jumpsuit. Kelly Osbourne was hot on her heels in the style stakes looking very trim and sexy in a black lacy dress. Being in love obviously agrees with her. Then came trend-setters Alexa Chung, Peaches Geldof and Daisy Lowe all looking characteristically cool in their own style. But these girls had better watch out because right behind them came the next generation of style icons in waiting - heir to the Versace empire Allegra Versace (22) and american teen It Girl (and daughter of Genesis rocker Phil Collins) Lily Collins (18).
