Here at Handbag Towers, we’ve all got funny/happy/sad memories that we like to share with each other over a cup of tea. Anecdotes and talking about our experiences make life more interesting! We are also big fans of Doc Martens, so you can imagine how excited we were to see the launch of their new ‘First and Forever’ campaign, based around the idea that ‘first times define us, and single moments shape us forever’. Another one of our favourites, supermodels, Agyness Deyn, makes her return to campaigns with a gallery of amazing images, dressed up in full skinhead/punk attire (donkey jackets, skinny jeans, white socks and oxblood DMs, not to mention the cool quiff hairstyle). She also looks incredible in the accompanying film, which sees her talk about her first heartbreak (sob!), not that we can imagine anyone falling out of love with her...
The idea of the First and Forever website is for people to share their first experiences, whether it’s your first pair of Doc Martens, your first gig, or just the first ‘something’ that made a big impact on your life. To be honest, in our case it probably was a pair of shoes or a rogue boyfriend that changed our lives, for better or worse! By entering your ‘first and forever’ memory, you could be in with a chance to win a pair of shoes or boots from the latest Doc Martens collection, which is enough of an excuse for us. The new styles include tasselled suede loafers, platform brogues, and new powder blue and purple shades. The combination of Agyness, romance and new Doc Martens? We’re in love.
