National treasure, Dame Vivienne Westwood, made a triumphant return to London Fashion Week showing her second ‘Red Label’ line here for the first time in nearly a decade. Vivienne has lost none of the free-thinking anarchic spirit that made her name and stayed true to her aesthetic with bosom heaving and thigh flashing tartan and knitwear featuring heavily. But that was only half the story. Her tailoring which flatters the female form is a breath of fresh air in an industry seemingly besotted with an androgynous silhouette.
