Roksanda Ilincic rocks the high street

Roksanda Ilincic has designed a collection of cocktail dresses for Whistles that will be available from September.

Whistles has announced an exciting new collaboration with Serbian-born, London based designer Roksanda Ilincic. Due to go on sale at the start of September, the autumn/winter ‘09 collection consists of seven limited edition cocktail dresses. 

Ilincic's mainline collections are renowned for their dramatic, sculptural dresses earning her the nickname ‘London's avant-garde dress maker', a title that only helps to ramp up the expectation and excitement for this latest designer/high street pair up. Jane Shepherdson, chief executive of Whistles, says, "I have long been a huge fan of Roksanda, and to have her design such an exquisite collection of dresses for Whistles has been a unique opportunity. We have worked closely at every stage of the design process with Roksanda to capture her unique sense of play and contrast in colour, fabric and texture. It would be hard not to fall in love with the resulting collection." We don't doubt it for a second Jane!
