Little Emperors & Co launches

Calling all designer addicts: you need to know about the most exclusive new members-only card on the block.

Donna Karan, autumn winter 2009Whether it's designer clothes, five-star hotels or private members' clubs that are your weakness, the recession needn't dampen your fun, thanks to the launch of a new membership scheme, Little Emperors & Co, which promises the holy grail of spendaholics - year-round discounts.

The 12-month membership fee of £575 may sound steep, but when you consider that it entitles the holder to between 10% and 25% off labels such as Alberta Ferretti, Anya Hindmarch, Jimmy Choo, Temperley, Jil Sander and La Perla, it puts the initial outlay in perspective. It also includes annual membership to The Cookoo Club, Boujis and The Met Bar, reduced rates at top international hotels, restaurants and spas and even discounted parking.

The scheme is the brainchild of Elizabeth Sieff, a descendant of the Marks & Spencer family, whose business background in the City and taste for luxury living helped her identify a niche in the market for Little Emperors & Co when the recession hit in January.

"Luxury brands want to see their customer relationships through this difficult time and strengthen their bond rather than only seeing them sporadically - the obvious path to go down is incentives," she explains.

"Discounts in the simplest form don't fit luxury profiles so we created Little Emperors & Co as an exclusive service allowing brands to offer their most valued customers a special reduced rate without compromising brand integrity. Our memberships are already highly sought after due to the fantastic brands we work with."
