Tuesday night all the stars of British fashion gathered in Westminster for the annual British Fashion Awards and it was Luella Bartley who went home with the big prize of Designer Of The Year. It's only been three seasons since she bought her catwalk show back to London after a stint in New York, but her label has since gone from strength to strength. It's become a cult favourite with the fashion world, hip young shoppers and (inevitably) the great British high street, which has spawned a thousand ‘homages'.
 Other big winners on the night were Matthew Williamson who scooped Red Carpet Designer Of The Year, Jourdan Dunn who was named Model Of The Year and Burberry's Creative Director Christopher Bailey who won Menswear Designer Of The Year. The Swarovski Emerging Talent Awards For Ready-to-Wear And Accessories went to Louise Goldin and Nicholas Kirkwood respectively who will now both receive financial help to further their fledgling businesses.
