What's with the long face? Daiane Conterato, the 16-year-old Brazilian challenges the commercial beauty aesthetic. Discovered by Supreme head Paul Rowlands on a trip to Brazil, she bucks the trend for busty Brazilian models. A refreshing change in an industry of bee-stung beauties. When she hit the fashion circuit in 2006 she was instantly booked by Miuccia Prada for her pale and interesting look, getting the royal seal of approval in the kingdom of fashion. She is a firm favourite of photographers Steven Meisel and Jurgen Teller, who has just shot her for the Marc Jacobs autumn/winter '07 campaign. Cooler than that, you die!
