Six of the best... Sculptural heels

 This season is all about fantastical footwear. Sergio Rossi's bulbous bubble heels made our eyes bulge in wonderment as soon as we saw them. 

 Statement stilettos and heels that closer resemble pieces of art were the running theme on the spring summer catwalks (but of course there will be no actual running in these vertigo inducing sandals!).  Miuccia Prada's shoe design inspiration seemed to span every fairytale story ever written, with candelabra heels at Miu Miu and woodland pixie styles at Prada.  Sonia Rykiel's choice of footwear was equally whimsical with a 70's vibe in eye popping brights.

 Thankfully this is not a trend confined to the catwalk.  New Look's geometric cut out heels are ultra-wearable and come in a gorgeous plummy shade.  A Perspex heel lends an urban edge to Topshop's T-bar peeps, while these Nine West wedges are a great investment as they closely match a style seen on the Louis Vuitton catwalk for next season.
