Chloé designer Paolo Melim Andersson's autumn / winter 2008/9 collection was a light as air ode to the youthful, carefree girl the house has come to represent, ever since Stella McCartney and Phoebe Philo created her. There was a strong line-up of daywear, consisting mainly of dresses: girly babydolls and 70's-style floaty numbers, as well as a few very pretty structured cotton smocks. There was embellishment: sparkly stones adorned coats, while tiny gold hoops were attached to a nude chiffon skirt. A racing green leather handbag on a long gold chain was a sign of the house moving forwards from its ubiquitous heavy leather bags.  -Danielle Radojcin
