Whether you're on a date, catching up with the girls or need a post-work pick me up, Hotel Indigo's bar will keep you sitting comfortably for hours.
Sink into a plush velvet chair for the perfect spot to people watch and enjoy being waited on for a change – there's no jostling at the bar for a drink here as table service is standard. Just what you need after a long week at work.
Popular with business folk, foodies and passing celebrities, it's the hip happening place to be.
Hotel Indigo's cocktail menu is one of the best in Newcastle. However, if you're the type of person who spends hours mulling over which drink to pick (and then inevitably copies their mate anyway) then their new range of mini cocktails – served as a trio – is for you.
Each one contains a shot of alcohol and all the elements of the longer drinks listed on the menu but the £10 price tag allows you sample a few more drinks than normal. You may even discover a new favourite - we became rather taken with the Raspberry & Elderflower Collins.
Whilst sipping on the drinks of your choice, why not order one (or six) of the sharing platters? Pick from fish goujons, lamb kebabs, salmon and sticky chilli sauce, spring rolls and cheese straws. Sharing platters are an equally purse friendly £10.
The hotel's Marco Pierre White Restaurant is just a few yards away, so after all that booze if you're in the mood for something more hearty than a fish goujon - let their menu tickle your taste buds. A three course meal starts at £25.
Mini cocktails are £10 for three, sharing platters are £10.
