This hot cocktail will warm you up in no time on a rainy day.

When the pesky weather thinks it's still winter when we're in the middle of spring, only a warm cocktail will do.

Enter Huckle My Buff, a comforting beer cocktail by cocktail expert Simon Difford.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 fresh Egg yolk
  • 5 shot Harveys Porter
  • 1 shot Cognac VSOP
  • Shot Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur
  • Shot Light muscovado sugar syrup (2 sugar to 1 water)

METHOD

Gently blend all ingredients on a slow speed then warm in a saucepan, gently stirring with a whisk (or microwave for 30 seconds and stir).

Then pour into warmed glass. If you make several servings in one batch, keep warm and serve from a sous-vide or heated soup kettle at to 60°C.
