Serve with a massive hot chocolate and a banging fireworks display.
The Bonfire Burger
- For sweet chilli onions:
- 1 medium sized onion (about 200g)
- 35g Sweet chilli sauce
- 20g Smokey BBQ sauce
- 40g Vegetable oil
- For the cheese rosti:
- 150g Grated potato
- 50g Grated mature cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper
- For the burger:
- 1 GBK fresh six ounce burger
- 4 White floured buns
- 2 Little gem lettuce
- 1 Beef tomato
Place a roasting tray in a pre heated oven at 200°C.
Slice your onions and mix in a bowl with the oil, sweet chilli sauce and smokey BBQ sauce. When the tray is hot, tip the onion mix onto it and spread thinly. Put the tray back into the oven and bake for approximately 20-25 minutes or until the onions are a deep golden brown.
Squeeze the grated potato dry in a clean towel, put in a bowl and mix well with grated cheese, potato and salt and pepper. Form a large tablespoon of the mix into a thin disc and fry with a little vegetable oil on a medium heat until cooked and golden brown on both sides.
Char grill or pan fry your burger for 11-15 minutes and quick char grill or toast your little gem lettuce leaves and burger bun, then set them aside ready to assemble
Build the burger. Layer the bun, little gem lettuce , sliced tomato, burger, cheese rosti, sweet chilli onions and bun lid and then serve with crispy mini roast sweet potato.
