Tissues at the ready people, apparently married bliss isn't really a thing.
According to a new study by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, married couples are more prone to depression and less responsive to positive things.
Researchers at the uni monitored a group of couples over 11 years for signs of stress, depression and emotional reaction.
After over decade together, couples who nagged and argued showed higher levels of tension and took longer to recover from a negative experience, outweighing the positives from the relationship.
We wonder if telling a little white lie once in a while isn't such a bad thing after all...
