Brand new app Grouper promises to make online dating easier by sending singles on group dates - and buying the first round of drinks.

Once you've signed in with your Facebook profile, the app matches you with a bloke and then asks you to choose two willing friends to accompany you.

Behind the scenes your mystery man will be asked to do the same.

The idea is that a group of six get together, have some drinks and take the pressure off the two who are actually on a date.

Plus, Grouper pay for your first round of cocktails to kick things off.

So far the service is only available in London, but 96% of New York daters said they'd give Grouper a second try.
