Waitrose create 'sweet sprouts' to trick junk food addicts into eating vegetables

The child-friendly invention has turned the humble Brussels into a sugary sweet confection (sort of)...

Brussels Sprouts
Supermarket Waitrose has developed a sweeter sprout to tempt the taste buds of veg-haters everywhere this Christmas.

Waitrose have been working with specialist growers to breed sweet sprouts that will *hopefully* stop children from pushing them round their plate in disgust.

But you might want to get in there quick because the new variety is only available for two weeks starting from today (3 December).

But that's not all Waitrose are cooking up in their experimental Heston Blumenthal-inspired kitchen. Oh no!

They've got 15 types of sprouts on offer, including a 'red variety'. Hhhmm, they might look a little brainy if you ask us...

But on the plus side, if you cook them right they won't smell and they'll taste sweeter. Now where's that cranberry sauce?
