Lidl has been slammed by animal rights campaigners for trivialising animal cruelty and slaughter in its latest Christmas advert for a 'Turkey, Chicken And Duck' roast.
If you're thinking this is just another case of militant vegetarianism then think again, because what people really have a problem with is the language used in the video.
The voice over says, "Turkey, chicken and duck, in one meal. So everybody's happy.
"Apart from the turkey, chicken and duck."
Ha Ha Ha, because they're dead...it's a joke, right? WOW.
The Advertising Standards Authority is deciding whether to launch an investigation after receiving complaints about the advert. Although so far only two people have expressed concern.
An ASA spokesman said the complainants dislike the video, "because it trivialises the fact that the animals which have gone into the product are dead as well as making light of cheap farming practices."
