Marcia Gay Harden has been cast as Christian Grey's mother in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
The 54-year-old Oscar-winning actress will play Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey in the movie, which has also recently cast Rita Ora as her adopted daughter, Mia.
Marcia's character plays a huge role in Christian's life, formally introducing him to Elena who teaches him the wicked ways of BDSM.

But Marcia is going to face some stiff competition in the mum stakes from British actress Jennifer Ehle, who has signed on to play Anastasia Steele's mother, Carla.
In contracts to Dr Grace, Carla is a little more wayward, wild and emotional...so expect some pretty epic breakdown scenes.
Go on, admit it! You recognise her for playing Elizabeth Bennet in the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice back in the day (yes, the one with Colin Firth and that pond), don't you? She's used to a spot of scandal then.
