Do we really need Fifty Shades of Grey wine?

A glass of 'white silk' or 'red satin' wine? Cringe.

Missing no opportunity to slap some sexual pun on a product, the Fifty Shades of Grey empire has released two wines for fans of the BDSM trilogy, one of which is blended to have the subtle taste of leather.

The 'White Silk' white wine has 'floral aromatics of lychee, honey and pear' while the 'Red Satin' wine (yes, that's actually what it's called) is a blend of 'black cherry, cocoa powder, creamy caramel and vanilla, leather and clove spice.'

Author E.L James issued a statement about the launch of the saucy tipples, saying, 'Wine plays an important role in 'Fifty Shades of Grey…I've always had a penchant for good wine, so combining two of my passions…was a natural extension of the series.'

The wines are available now for $17.99 a bottle at fiftyshadeswine.com

Can we really take a whole year of Fifty Shades of Grey horrendously named merchandise? We're not sure we've got the Christian Grey style stamina to man it.
