Cara Delevingne has auditioned for a highly coveted secondary character role in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie according to insiders.
The 20-year-old Burberry model apparently impressed show producers when she auditioned for the hotly anticipated movie adaptation of EL James' erotic series.
Cara made her debut in the 2012 Hollywood remake of Anna Karenina, alongside Keira Knightley and Jude Law.
A source told The Sun today (8 August), "Cara is a front-runner for a part. She's desperate to get the gig and has always said that she wanted to be taken seriously as an actress."
According to insiders, Cara became great friends with fellow Anna Karenina actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson during filming, and in a stroke of luck, his wife Sam Taylor Wood has agreed to direct the Fifty Shades movie.
The source continued:, "[Cara] is a global icon now and a good actress as well and Sam wants her in the movie – though which part exactly hasn't been established.
"[Cara's] agent has also been talking to Kelly Marcel, the screenplay writer. And, if needs be, a strong role will be written in for her."
