The big wigs at charity, Allergy UK, have discovered that certain foods, especially fruit and veggies, can make hayfever symptoms worse.
This summer (if you can call it a summer) has been pretty miserable for hayfever sufferers who've been itching, scratching and sneezing their way through high pollen counts.
Scientists also believe that hayfever can increase the likeliness of food allergy symptoms such as an itchy mouth and swelling of the lips. Aaaahhh.
So what is it about these foods that make things worse? Well, according to Allergy UK experts, the proteins in some fruits, veggies, nuts and spices can trigger a cross-reaction in someone with hayfever because they share similarities to pollen.
If you're sick of reaching for the tissues, you need to avoid these foods NOW...
