Amazingly, despite loads of research and years of medical discoveries, experts are still mystified by the female G-Spot. Some aren't sure if it even exists, while others think it might be an internal branch of the clitoris.

To help shed some light on the subject, we've pulled together some of the most weird, wonderful and downright mystifying facts about the G-Spot.

Take a peek and let us know what you think...

1. We don't all have one - apparently

The good news is - the G-Spot does exist. The bad news is we don't all have one. According to scientists in Italy, tests show that women who believe they definitely do have a G-Spot have thicker tissue in their internal vaginal walls than those who weren't sure. Weird but true.

2. What's the 'Sacred Spot' all about?

In Tantric sex the G-Spot is called the 'sacred spot' and it's thought to be the centre of a woman's emotional sexual centre.

3. The G-Spot isn't actually a spot.

Really it's an area on the front wall of the vagina about one to two inches inside. It's size is said to increase with stimulation, which means the amount of foreplay you have is crucial. According to the experts if you're not turned on your G-Spot will only be the size of a pea! The area is said to feel rougher than the surrounding tissue, with slight ridges like a peach or avocado stone.

4. G-Spot or P-Spot?

One theory states that the G-Spot is similar to the male prostate. Because women don't have a Y chromosome the prostate doesn't develop in the same way resulting in a smaller bundle of internal cells that can be stimulated. Female ejaculation is also linked to the G-Spot and the stimulation of Skene's glands.

5. Does it always work?

Hhhhhmm, it's not a hard science (no pun intended). For some women activation of the G-Spot can bring deep intense orgasms and multiple orgasms when combined with clitoral stimulation. For others, stimulation of the G-Spot can simply cause the urge to pee!
