Researchers in Spain have concluded that women just can't resist a cheeky chappy smile.
Experiments showed that women became 'submissive' and and more obedient when men they grinned at them.
In three tests experts looked at how a man's smile impacts on body language and perception. Even when the bloke made a blatantly sexist remark after smiling, women were more likely to follow his commands and adopt a 'submissive posture'. WOW!
The researchers at the University of Granada in Spain concluded that it was the 'perceived warmth' of the men that influenced female behaviour.
So, basically, if someone is nice to us we will automatically do what they tell us. Hhhhmmm, anyone else seeing something a bit wrong with that?
Body language experts argue that women rely on subconscious signals to make decisions more than men, which is why they trust smiles and assume the interaction that follows is friendly.
Surely we'll all start being charmed left, right and centre!
