It's a known fact that us ladies take ages to get ready for a Saturday night on the town.
That's nothing to be ashamed of, because we all know most of the fun comes from getting dressed, experimenting with lipstick and dancing around the room to a Rihanna mega-mix. Most of the fun starts before you even lock the front door.
But according to new research, the average woman doesn't just start getting ready on a Saturday afternoon...she starts prepping on Wednesday at 1.35pm to be precise!
Apparently, we will start picking our outfit, shoes and hair choices in just 30 minutes time...so set your watches now.
The research also shows that planning for a typical night out involves over ten text messages, three emails, five phone calls, eight posts on Facebook and three Tweets.
The average woman also spends two hours (probably at work, but don't tell the boss Sssshhh) researching outfits, venues and even the weather prior to climbing in the cab.
Of those polled, one in 20 will wear hair extensions, 20% will add false lashes and 6% will whiten their teeth. Now that's serious hard work.
The research commissioned by New Look showed that nearly two thirds of us prefer getting ready to the actual night out. That's the power of fashion and beauty people!
And when do we finally leave the house? At 8.23pm, of course...
